Why Wine?

Why would a coffee, pizza, and vanilla farm cafe serve and sell wine? We had several customers request that we serve alcohol in our cafe over the past 6 months. I think the cool outside setting of our garden pavilion feels like the right place to just sit and relax with a nice glass of wine, beer, or coffee. It’s hard to put my finger on it, but it just feels like the right environment to chill with a nice adult beverage. We also noticed that there were not many venues where you could get a nice bottle of wine in Chaiyaphum. If you can find a place, the selection is limited and extremely overpriced. The local grocery stores carry wines however, they are very generic and priced a little high for a lower-quality wine. We basically saw an opportunity to offer high-quality French, Italian, Australian, and Chilean wines to name a few. Our goal is to offer a high-quality imported wine at a value price that everyone can afford.

Fast forward to the present, we currently have over 28 varieties of wines and growing. A customer came in over this past weekend and had a nice bottle of French Wine. Afterward, he said we have to be the only farm cafe in Thailand that actually stocks Proseco. We held our first wine-tasting event a couple of months ago and have another one coming up on October 29th. These events are great because they allow those in attendance to sample three to four different wines accompanied by a great selection of appetizers included in the package. Our in-house wine expert has another great event planned that will feature both French and Italian red wines. Our goal is to be the go-to supplier for great wine in Chaiyaphum.
